I’m a “buy good shoes and wear them for years” kind of consumer. Not big into the “today’s trends are tomorrow’s garbage” scene. I bought these to replace a ?20 year old pair of ECCO oxfords that served me through many a 12-hours-on-my-feet workday. After stalking them online for a bit, I finally pulled the trigger after reading the reviews. These are medium-narrow shoes with a pointed toe. I have a narrow foot and am between 40 and 41 Euro sizes (typically wear US10). Am very happy with the 41. The leather is firm, yet I had minimal if any wear-in period. Decorative horizontal stitching across the top falls right where my toes naturally bend, so I didn’t have to break in a toe crease through walking. This is clearly the work of someone who’s familiar with old world shoe design. These are supportive, surprisingly comfortable considering the heel height, and quite possibly the best made pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. I’m someone who usually leaves reviews only if the product I buy is far better or far worse than I expected. Angela Scott will get my business again when it comes time to replace my other work staples. If you’re at all on the fence, my advice to you is, save up your pennies and buy yourself a pair of these.
